Laura Ramirez (b. 1979) is a ceramic artist born and raised in Spain. She lived in Australia for eleven years, and graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Art majoring in Ceramics from National Art School, Sydney.
Before NAS, Laura completed several short courses and workshops in ceramics at the Pottery Shed and Waverley Woollahra Art School. She also completed a Certificate IV in Design from the International School of Colour and Design in Sydney in 2014.
Laura exhibited at the BFA Graduation Show 2022 at the National Art School. Her work was also on view in the group exhibition Natural Haptics at the Library Stairwell Gallery, National Art School.
In 2022, Laura received the Matilda Kubany-Deane Memorial Prize. And was a finalist in the Shelley Simpson Ceramics Prize. Her work is held in multiple private collections across Australia and Spain.
